Hello there! I’m Ashley and I own and operate Purple Mountain Pottery & Paper. This business came about after years of sculpting both in the classroom and in my free time. My first love was ceramics, yet I was always working on a collage. In college, I learned that these mediums are more similar than they seemed and that I appreciated the process that each required.
I have since learned that the root of my art is not dependant on clay or paper, but the color and textures I see and experience within the watch of a purple mountain. I believe that details make a simple design, not so simple, and that my art is not meant for production, but for attention. I have analyzed the quaint Maryland valley I grew up in and in exchange it has given me inspiration. I am excited to share my art with you and I hope I can help you bring your ideas to life. |
Appalachian tale...I recently moved to Asheville, North Carolina and have found my artistry suits the marketing needs of many local businesses. My attention to detail and belief in a quality product have tailored me well for the world of social media. I have found in a world where information is constantly flowing, it is important to maintain composure, create clear, concise and conscientious posts.
